I think they are great. I have the cranberry or blueberry for breakfast like a cookie with coffee (pop them in the toaster first) and sometimes I have the brownie or choc muffin as a snack in the afternoon with coffee. I have lost 12 lbs in 3 weeks (along with exercise). I love them and they are worth the price!

I bought many of the chocolate tops and muffins online...(I wasn't thinking about how much room in my freezer this would take up..it was a lot).

My husband and I have been enjoying them as a snack and as part of our breakfast for a few weeks....but last night, as I was snacking on one I realized it tasted like vegetables, or vitamins, or something other than chocolate.

I threw it out.

But this morning I tried a different flavor and same thing.

They've been frozen the whole time so I don't know if it's them or if it's me.

I probably won't buy them again.

Haven't tried them yet.. been looking all over for them. But if Hungry Girl says they are great that is enough for me.. She has the same ' taste' I do so I follow her recommendations regularly and have never been disappointed. The only thing I would like to see in them is a little higher protein count. That way when you eat your 100 cal snack .. you feel full for a lot longer.. The fiber is fine but the protein is what makes it ' stick' with you longer. I just ordered some from the website. They are having a buy one get one special from Hungry girl.. Can't wait to get mine. That you get the coupon code from Hungry girl website.

I work at vitalicious so maybe I can add something to this thread. The products need to be frozen when they arrive because they are all natural & contain no artificial preservatives (you can re-freeze if needed). This will prevent molding. We are in 8000 stores nationally (freezer sections) so if you are having trouble finding a store you can email us from our website & we'll help find one for you. Take advantage of our customer service. My personal preference is to buy the mixes (although I typically don't bake) because they are easy to make- just 3 ingredients, they taste better freshly baked, the cost per VitaMuffin is nearly 50% less & you can be creative with your flavors. Lastly, many people don't know that most 100 calorie products are 1 oz., VitaMuffins & tops are 2 oz. which means you are actually getting more product by weight in comparision (2x more per serving) & you'll feel more full after eating. We're hoping the additional benefits of the product will outwiegh the slightly higher cost. I hope I was able to add some insight to our products.

I really wanted to try them, but they do come at a high price. They did have a special at Safeway, which is the only location I was able to find them, for 2 at $7. So that would be $3.50 per box. But, you only get four small muffins in them, and so it wasn't that great to me.

I am trying to find a way to make my own double chocolate ooozzzy gooozzy goodness with applesauce and whole wheat flour so that it would be equally as healthy and not cost as much. Plus, baking can be fun... -lol- Call me a thrifty spender!

Just saw that you like these muffins too! The first time I had them I ordered a variety pack from the company directly. My favorite were the chocolate tops. I liked it much more than the muffin.

Hmm... toasted. Gotta try that if I find them at the store. The site says there are 2 stores near me that carry them. I gotta hit them on the way home one of these days.

I love your blog. I'm also doing WW. If you go to
www.vitalicious.com you can actually order the vita muffin mix for 5.99 a bag. I ordered a bag of each flavor, but it hasn't arrived yet. I also ordered a silicon pan for baking muffin tops from them. They have Blueberry Bran, Chocolate Brownie, Deep Chocolate and Banana Nut. I'm so excited to be able to eat chocolate for 1 point!

Oh man, I've wanted to try these muffins forever, but I can NOT find them! I've checked everywhere with no luck. I remember seeing them back in NY so I'll have to get them when I go home this summer. They are a bit expensive so I'd like to get the mix as well. While pretty darn healthy and low in calories, I feel like I still might prefer Trader Joe's muffins. The muffins have 2 to 2 1/2 times the calories but probably 2 to 3 times the size. They also may have better nutrition info than vitamuffins, except for the vitamins themselves.
